Anime fans are widely diverse from age, gender, ethnicity, culture, and nationality.  Hmmm, when was the first time you were heavily exposed to the realm of Japanese animation?  And what shows were they?

During the mid-late 90's, I was very fond of Sailor Moon, and within that same time frame, I stumbled upon a Sci-Fi Channel program called Saturday Anime where countless Anime movies were featured.  That is how I had my heavy dosage of Anime.  Movies like Vampire Hunter D, Project A-Ko, Roujin Z, Gall Force, Akira, Robot Carnival, and many other titles truly had me hooked to this kind of stuff!  These movies were very impressionable to me when I was a kid hahaha.  So of course, something that I love dearly would influence my art style greatly.

I admit that my enthusiasm for Anime dwindled between 2004 and 2009, but amusingly enough it somewhat revived earlier this year because of...FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST HAHAHA!!!  The first anime is extremely good and Brotherhood is even better ;)  I haven't for a long time been so excited for each episode's release and up to its conclusion back in early July of this year.  FMA is just that EFFIN' GOOD!!!

So yeah,  what specific series got you into Anime in the first place? How and when did you end up watching these shows?  Considering the demographics of Anime fans are very wide, everyone is going to have an interesting answer hehehe!
